Required Tests

For the courses taught in English, students will either need a certificate proving their language level (higher education institutions have their own requirements on the score needed), or pass the language proficiency test provided by the higher education institution.

Admission Procedure

The International students should apply directly to the selected Lithuanian university or college. As rule of thumb, admission to studies is carried out in July. Students planning to study in Lithuania are advised to start application procedure as early as possible due to the fact that document recognition and subject equivalence identification procedures may take up to one month and sometimes longer. From the second year of study students in full-time study mode are allowed to work 20 hours per week in accordance with the legislation of Lithuania.

A Permanent Residence Permit in Lithuania for foreign nationals can be granted given that the person has had a temporary residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania for 5 years in a row. At the same time the person should satisfy other requirements set by the government.
